Park City Partnership Project Receives Grant from Fannie Mae

Fannie Mae has provided a grant to the Park City partnership to develop a model green house which will be built in the east end of Bridgeport and development of guidelines for a "green" affordable housing policy for Bridgeport. Participants of the program include: Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust, Vita Nuova LLC, Yale University Urban Design Team, EarthRise, Charles Smith Community Development Corporation, the City of Bridgeport, Steven Winters and Associates, and Fannie Mae. |

Park City Partnership has completed a draft green development strategy for the city of Bridgeport. We are currently looking to share this draft with stakeholders and begin to implement portions of the action agenda. Download draft.

Brownfields and Intertidal Wetlands Analysis

As part of the east end brownfields and planning efforts for the broader neighborhood, an analysis was done to facilitate improved waterfront use and ecosytem functioning along the Bridgeport waterfront. Park City Partnership project wins Environmental Merit Award; Ribbon-cutting June 4, 2002

Went Field Park, a ten-acre brownfield to greenfield park expansion in Bridgeport, received recognition from EPA Region I Administrator Robert Varney for the unique consensus-building process which led to the $4million dollar restoration and expansion of the park. As part of the East End Revitalization program, Park City Partnership worked with the city to convince EPA to use EPA Removal Action Funding to clean up imminent hazards at the former Chrome Engineering Plating facility. Download pdf |
